Swaim is currently working on implementing an extensive master plan for the Pima Air & Space Museum. One of the first new buildings, the Space Exploratorium & Challenger Learning Center, was completed in 1999. The facility houses an exhibit gallery dedicated to the history of space exploration, classroom, and administrative areas, and the Challenger Learning Center, a science & math based education program for junior high school students throughout Arizona. The building, which earned two metal building awards, expresses the structural and mechanical systems of the facility through the use of bright colors.
