The Summerhaven Village Center is the result of a community planning effort after the 2003 Aspen Fire devastated the town on Mt. Lemmon. The Visitor / Community Center supports the mixed use village, which consists of a lodge, restaurants, retail, and condominiums, oriented around the creek. It is funded through a partnership between both public and private entities. On July 4, 2007, the American Flag was raised to celebrate the completion of the Mt. Lemmon Community Center including the ceramic timeline and the related roadway, parking and bridge.
