design portfolio - education

Swaim Associates has significant experience in the design of education facilities. Over the years we have designed a wide range of public and private schools, from preschool to higher education, integrating the following principles:

- Schools must be inspiring, supportive, and safe learning environments for students and teachers.
- Every project is unique and must respond to its specific site, culture, and educational philosophy.
- Integrating technology and anticipating change responds to our 21st century students.
- Staff and community alike must be involved in the design process to build consensus, pride, and ownership.
- Green schools are sustainable, healthy, and enhance learning.
- School organization with pods, academics, houses, and teacher centers enhances communication and eliminates
   the anonymous student.
