st.
elizabeth ann seton church school

The
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School is a 76,540 S.F., $7.6 million
kindergarten through eighth grade parochial school. The two-story
space in each wing has a 700 S.F. insulated skylight that brings
light into both the administration spaces and the classroom corridors.
There is a “sacred corner” in each classroom that is expressed
on the building’s exterior through fenestration patterns. The
courtyard serves as the inner sanctum of the school during the
week and as the main exterior social space for the church on the
weekends and for special events. The design has been infused throughout
with contemporary expressions of Catholic symbolism - in its planning
and in its aesthetic - which will carry through in the students
religious and academic experience. Positive relationships and
consensus were developed with the neighbors to achieve County
Board of adjustment approvals and conditional use permits.
